yes, this is an over 1 hour long presentation on the new google thing, but it’s an interesting concept. Basically wikis, documents, IMs, emails, bulletin boards, and blogs are united into one thing, the wave.
already google has piecemealed all of this together in gmail, gchat, and google docs. you can have multiple people edit a document simultaneously in docs. IMs in gchat get saved in your email account, and kinda get treated like a long email chain. and long email chains end up looking like bulletin board posts.
this next thing is pretty much stripping away the walls on the different media and uniting them into living documents (I don’t think I’m going to start calling them “waves”).
