Thanks to Google books and via Yglesias, find out how to be manly, sated, and presidential in a 1920s sort of way with the 1922 The Stag Cookbook: Written for Men by Men. When seen alongside descriptions of “creamed chipped beef,” I realize how old-timey and alarmingly generic “baking powder” actually sounds.
